<image:title>Blog - Navigating Client Requests in Occupational Therapy: Finding the Balance Between Support and Professional Boundaries</image:title>
<image:caption>Imagine you’re finishing up a session, and your client asks you to write a support letter for equipment they believe will help their child. You might be rushing to finish your session notes and unsure how to respond. This scenario is common and raises an important question: How do we, as occupational therapists, balance supporting our clients with maintaining professional boundaries?</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Igniting Potential: How supervision can energise your OT Journey</image:title>
<image:caption>The OT landscape has changed so much since I graduated back in 2001. When I first started in private practice as a sole trader, there were only five private practices in my local area! Now, I couldn’t even guess how many there are. The exciting thing about change is that it provides an opportunity for growth and exploration. Whether that is staying as a sole trader working with clients that align with your interests and values or building a group private practice where you can nurture other occupational therapists to reach their professional potential or as an employee who can find a place where they are supported and encouraged to develop their clinical competence or leadership skills. The opportunities are boundless in our profession and so is the access to amazing supervisors and mentors.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Antarctica: A journey of connection, collaboration and shared joy</image:title>
<image:caption>One of the most memorable aspects of my expedition was the camaraderie that developed among us. Each member of our group brought their unique skills, perspectives, and personalities, which enriched our collective experiences. We supported one another through challenges, celebrated each other’s accomplishments, and revelled in the joy of exploration together. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and shared purpose we and created many “best days ever” along the way. As our trip progressed, we found ourselves immersed in unforgettable moments. Sailing into Neko Harbour brought a sense of excitement and anticipation as a small group of us got ready to kayak amongst the ice, seals, and penguins while it was snowing stands out as a highlight. As the nerves set in around the logistics of getting in our kayaks from the Zodiacs, we were able to support one another through encouragement and lots of laughter. There was a sense of being part of something magnificent even when we awkwardly transferred on and off our kayaks. The sheer wonder of being surrounded by such incredible wildlife, in one of the most remote places on Earth, was a feeling like no other. And to experience this alongside such inspiring women made it all the more special.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Antarctica: A journey of connection, collaboration and shared joy - Antarctica & Occupational Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Beyond the adventure itself, I couldn’t help but draw parallels between my Antarctic expedition and my work as an occupational therapist and supervisor. In both contexts, it is the connections we forge, the shared values we uphold, and the support we offer one another that truly enhance our lives. We work with amazing individuals and by taking the time to be present when spending time with them can also leave a lasting impression on their lives and the way they view themselves. Feeling connected to a community and being inspired by different people entering our lives can provide a sense of belonging. It can also give us the support we may need to make change in our lives by connecting with those who plant those seeds of encouragement.</image:caption>
