Paediatric Occupational Therapy

Paediatric care is at the heart of my occupational therapy services, where I infuse warmth and sunlight into every session and interaction. I am here for both parent and client, as we work together to support your child’s ambitions and capabilities.

We are Nurturing Connections

Hi, I’m Rachel Elliot.

Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Parent Coach and Mentor.

The connection between provider, client and parent is an important one — because, together, we shape your child’s life, abilities and outlook on the future. OT sessions should feel warm and welcoming; it should be a place where progress is made and obstacles are overcome.

Through these crucial childhood moments of development and learning, finding support from the right occupational therapist makes dreams and possibilities a reality.

Through 21+ years of occupational therapy practice, and 10+ years as an OT supervisor, I use my depth of knowledge — and calm, collaborative approach — to make a lasting impact on your family’s day-to-day life. Personal connection is at the forefront of each session, so let’s begin with a conversation about your goals.

Fine & gross motor skills

Childhood is the time for development and refinement of fine and gross motor skills, abilities and coordination — as children learn like sponges and absorb a new understanding of their capabilities each day.

Sensory processing & regulation

The world can be overwhelming, even for those of us who don’t struggle with sensory processing. Together, we help your child understand, regulate and overcome difficult feelings and emotions, so they feel comfortable and confident through everyday life.

anxiety and self care

As they face challenges and navigate life’s ups and downs, your child’s ability to soothe their anxiety and facilitate self care will be an essential tool to grow and thrive. Together, we kickstart positive habits and set your child up for self-care success.

Activities of daily living

We help your child develop self esteem, social skills, confidence and feelings of wellbeing. Through occupational therapy, we enhance your child’s ability to handle — and thrive within — the activities of daily living, including school, play, social events and extracurriculars.

parent coaching

As the support system behind your child’s goals, there are many ways to uplift them and advance their capabilities — so your child becomes the best they can be. With a focus on paediatrics, my services combine occupational therapy with parent coaching and guidance, so progress continues (and milestones are achieved) every step of the way.
